Delete (Deactivate) a Merchant Account (Super Admin)
3PLICITY User Guide
Overview
The Back Office allows Super Admin users to deactivate merchant accounts that are no longer active or required.
Merchant deletion follows a soft delete approach. This means the account is not permanently removed from the system. Instead, it is deactivated while preserving all related data such as orders, inventory, and historical records for audit and operational consistency.
Accessing the Back Office
Navigate to the 3PL Back Office web application (URL currently under development).
Click Sign In with Microsoft.
Enter your organization credentials to access the dashboard.
Accessing Merchant Accounts
From the top navigation menu, click Merchants.
The system displays a list of all registered merchant accounts.
Use the search or filtering options to locate the merchant you want to manage.
Click on the desired merchant to open the Merchant Details page.
Deleting (Deactivating) a Merchant Account
In the Merchant Details page, click the Delete or Deactivate button.
A confirmation dialog will appear with a warning about the action.
Review the information presented in the dialog.
Click Confirm to proceed.
Once confirmed:
The merchant account is marked as inactive or deleted.
The account is removed from active merchant listings.
The merchant can no longer access the platform.
Impact on Data
Deactivating a merchant does not remove associated data. The system retains:
Purchase Orders
Sales Orders
Inventory records
Billing and transaction history
This ensures continuity for reporting, auditing, and operational tracking.
Visibility in the Platform
After deactivation:
The merchant no longer appears in active lists within the Company dashboard.
The account may still exist in administrative views for record-keeping purposes.
Related operational data remains accessible where applicable.
Access Restrictions
Once a merchant is deactivated:
Login access is disabled.
The account cannot be used to create or manage orders.
Any attempt to sign in will be denied.
Notes
Only users with the Super Admin role can deactivate merchant accounts.
Deactivation is immediate after confirmation.
This action is intended for account management and cleanup, not permanent deletion.
All actions are recorded for audit purposes, including the user who performed the deactivation and the timestamp.
