Creating a Merchant Account as a Super Admin

Overview

The Back Office allows Super Admin users to create merchant accounts and assign them to a specific 3PL company (tenant). This process ensures that each merchant is properly linked to an organization, receives access credentials, and begins the onboarding process through an invitation.

The Back Office is available as a static web application (currently under construction).
Access it via the provided URL from your organization.

Only users with the Super Admin role can perform this action.

Accessing the Back Office

Navigate to the 3PLICITY Back Office page using the provided URL.
Click Sign In with Microsoft and log in using your organization’s work account.

Once signed in, you will be taken to the Back Office dashboard.
The interface includes navigation tabs such as Home, Merchants, and Invite Merchants, along with your account information and sign-out option.

Inviting a New Merchant

Click on the Invite Merchants tab to open the merchant invitation form.

The form allows you to define the initial merchant information and assign it to a company.

Enter Merchant Information

Provide the merchant’s email address, which will be used as the login username.
Enter a Merchant Name, typically representing the company or store name.

Assign to a Company (Tenant)

Open the Company dropdown and select the 3PL company to which the merchant will be associated.
This step is required, as merchants must always belong to a company.

Sending the Invitation

Click Send Invitation to create the merchant account and trigger the invitation process.

A confirmation message will appear indicating that the invitation has been sent successfully.

The merchant receives an email containing an Accept Invitation link.

Merchant Account Activation

When the invited user clicks the Accept Invitation link, they are redirected to the Merchant Sign Up page.

The merchant completes the registration by providing required details such as:

  • Store or company name

  • First and last name

  • Password and account credentials

After submitting the form, the system activates the account and allows the merchant to proceed with onboarding.

Verifying the Merchant in the Platform

From the Company Dashboard

Log in to the main 3PLICITY platform using the associated 3PL company credentials.
Navigate to the Customers section.

The newly created merchant appears in the list with an active status once registration is complete.

From the Back Office

Return to the Back Office and open the Merchants tab.
Use the search functionality to locate the merchant.

The merchant is listed and available for further management.

Key Considerations

  • The email address must be unique across the platform

  • All required fields must be completed before sending the invitation

  • Each merchant must be assigned to a company (tenant)

  • The merchant account is created through a secure authentication system, using the email as the username

  • The merchant must complete activation through the invitation email before accessing the platform

Summary

Creating a merchant account as a Super Admin involves accessing the Back Office, entering merchant details, assigning the merchant to a company, and sending an invitation. Once the merchant accepts the invitation and completes registration, the account becomes active and ready for onboarding within the platform.
