Low Inventory Notifications in 3PLICITY (Merchant Guide)
This guide explains how low inventory notifications work in 3PLICITY and how you can use them to monitor stock levels and restock products on time.
Overview
3PLICITY automatically notifies you when a product reaches a low stock level.
A product is considered low in stock when its available quantity is equal to or lower than the minimum stock value you have defined.
These notifications help you take timely action to avoid running out of inventory.
Setting Minimum Stock Levels
Before receiving notifications, you need to define a minimum stock value for your products.
Log in to 3PLICITY using your Merchant credentials.
From the left-hand menu, click Inventory.
Select Items.
Locate the product you want to configure and click Details.
In the Stock by Location section, click Edit Min Stock.
Enter the desired minimum stock value.
Click Save.
This value defines the threshold at which the system will trigger a low stock alert.
How Low Stock Is Detected
Once a minimum stock value is set, the system continuously compares:
Available Quantity
Minimum Stock
When the available quantity becomes equal to or less than the minimum stock, the product is flagged as low stock.
Visual Indicators in Inventory
When a product reaches low stock:
It is highlighted directly in the Items table.
A warning indicator appears next to the product.
This allows you to quickly identify products that require attention while reviewing your inventory.
Viewing Low Stock Items
To focus only on products that need restocking:
Go to Inventory from the left-hand menu.
Click Low Stock.
This section displays all products that are currently low in stock or out of stock, along with their quantities and warehouse details.
Receiving Notifications
3PLICITY provides in-platform notifications when a product reaches low stock.
Click the Notifications icon located in the top-right corner of the screen.
Open the notifications panel to view recent alerts.
Each notification includes:
Product name
SKU
Available quantity
Minimum stock value
Example:
Low stock: Product Name (SKU). Available 40, Min 40.
Notifications are grouped and managed to avoid unnecessary repetition, ensuring you only receive relevant alerts.
How Notifications Are Triggered
Low stock notifications are typically triggered after inventory changes, such as:
Creating and completing a Sales Order
Reducing available stock through operations
As stock levels decrease and reach the defined threshold, the system generates a notification automatically.
Managing Stock Proactively
To avoid stock shortages:
Regularly review the Low Stock section
Adjust minimum stock values based on demand
Restock products before they reach critical levels
Summary
Low inventory notifications in 3PLICITY allow you to:
Define minimum stock thresholds per product
Automatically detect when stock levels are low
Receive real-time alerts within the platform
Quickly identify and restock affected products
This feature helps you maintain optimal inventory levels and ensures smoother operations across your business.
