Restock Items from a Returned Order
After a returned package arrives at the warehouse and is confirmed by the Company, the returned items can be placed back into inventory if they are still suitable for sale.
To perform this process, sign in as a Company user and navigate to:
Returns > Returned
Open the desired returned order to access the order details screen.
The Return Actions section includes the following options:
- Discard Items
- Return to Stock
If the products are in acceptable condition, click Return to Stock.
The system processes the returned inventory and moves the order into:
Returns > Disposition Complete
The disposition summary is updated to reflect the completed restock action.
After restocking:
- Inventory quantities become available again for future orders
- Merchants can view the updated stock under Inventory > Items
- The order history is preserved with return processing information
- The Return Details section displays processing dates and operational history
This workflow allows returned inventory to safely re-enter the fulfillment cycle.
Discard Items from a Returned Order
If returned products are damaged, expired, defective, or otherwise unsuitable for resale, the Company can discard the items instead of restocking them.
To begin, sign in as a Company user and navigate to:
Returns > Returned
Open the desired returned order and review the returned products.
Within the Return Actions section, click Discard Items.
The system processes the disposition and moves the order into:
Returns > Discarded
The Return Details section records:
- Processing date
- Processing user
- Updated disposition summary
- Final return status
Discarded items are not added back into inventory and remain unavailable for future sales.
This process ensures inventory accuracy while maintaining a complete operational history of the return lifecycle.
